Kaum zu glauben, aber es ist exakt 25 Jahre her, seit die erste Version von rundumadum.at online ging. Am 10.2.2001 habe ich die ersten Panoramen, damals noch mit einem Java-Applet (PTViewer von Prof. Helmut Dersch) online gestellt. Leider war ich damals selbst nicht so vorausschauend Screenshots zu machen. Aber dank der Internet Archive Wayback-Machine (https://archive.org/) habe ich doch noch ein paar Screenshots von damals erstellen können.

Die zugrunde liegenden Fotos dieser ersten Panoramen sollten sich in den Tiefen meiner Festplatten wohl noch irgendwo finden lassen. Wäre es nicht reizvoll, zumindest einen Teil davon mit heutigen Mitteln wieder aufleben zu lassen? Wer weiß, wir werden sehen.

It's quite unbelievable, but it's been exactly 25 years since the first version of rundumadum.at went online. On 10th of Febr. 2001 I showed my first panoramas, at that time published with a Java applet (PTViewer by Prof. Helmut Dersch). Unfortunately at that time I hadn't been so forward-looking to take screenshots. But thanks to the Internet Archive Wayback-Machine (https://archive.org/) I was able to take a few screenshots from back then after all.

The original photos of these first panoramas should still be somewhere in the depths of my hard drives. Wouldn't it be nice to revive at least some of them using today's technology? Who knows, we'll see.
